ABOUT
Flying High Music

It Started With
An Endless Passion for Music and Connection
M
arco started Flying High Music with one mission in mind: Connecting people through music. His love for music started when he was two years old and saw a Las Vegas street musician playing guitar, harmonica and a tambourine, all at the same time!
Marco’s first love was the harmonica after attending the New Orlean’s Jazz Fest in 1992. This experience left an indelible imprint on him. He remembers watching and listening to many blues legends and experiencing that same deep connection they had with the crowd around him. From that day, Marco taught himself how to play harmonica and has continued featuring the blues harp as part of his live gigs.
.
In 1994 Marco began studying classical guitar. He spent two years studying and emulating the masters, including Segovia and Tarrega. These studies eventually led him to other types of guitar based music, including boss nova, jazz and, of course, the blues.
In 2005, Marco became the owner of a San Francisco based live music venue called Rockit Room. He spent four years running the club and booking hundreds, perhaps thousands, of local and national touring artists and bands. Here again, the power of music and it’s ability to connect people blew Marco away. He even started the Rockit Room House Band comprised of himself and a few of the Rockit Room staff to serve as the opening act for some big headlining bands. He remembers sharing the stage with some amazing bands, including The Stone Foxes!
In 2008, after selling Rockit Room, Marco moved to Los Angeles where he spent two years gigging around Santa Monica and Venice Beach.
Since 2010, Marco has been affiliated with Club Med, working as both a tennis pro and as a resident musician. This past ten years with the company has given Marco a huge opportunity to perform in front of thousands of people from around the world. He’s gigged in a variety of Club Med resorts, including Turkoise in Turks and Caicos, Punta Cana and Miches in the Dominican Republic, Cancun and Ixtapa in Mexico, Sandpiper in Florida, Columbus Isle in the Bahamas and Meribel in the French Alps.
Flying High Music is simply and extension of all these experiences. The exploring and learning of music. The connection with people from all around the world. The performance aspect. The blessing that music gives us are beyond our imagination. Flying High Music is a community of music lovers, performers, teachers, coaches and students. When it comes to music, we are always students to some extent and tapping into that inner child is a powerful way to live a richer life.
